Gamer Librarian in Japan

Hey guys.  I thought for sure I had written a post before today, but I can't seem to find it anywhere!  Ah the joys of using too many websites.  In any case, here's what I'm up to.

The Gamer Librarian is going to Japan!  ...maybe.  Still have one more interview to go before I know for sure, but I am feeling very positive about the first interview and my experience in general.  I have been applying to work for a company that sends assistant language teachers (ALTs) to help Japanese Teachers of English (JTE) at their home schools in Japan.  I'm hoping to work for a junior high school since that seems to be the best environment for ALT and teaching newbies.

I am quite excited and nervous both at the same time.  I cannot wait to experience Japan.  At the same time, I don't feel quite comfortable with my Japanese!  どうしお。。。 (What should I do...)

My plan is simply to practice Japanese as much as possible before going over there.  That's about all I can do really.  I hope to visit Japan at least once before actually moving there, but since I only have a three month period by which to do so, might not happen.  Fingers crossed!

Oh, and I am going to watch the heck out of Rachel & Jun's and Abroadin Japan's videos on YouTube.  Probably will try to find several other useful and entertaining YouTube channels to get a better feel for things... and eventually start my own channel!  Seeing as how I am not in Japan yet, my videos might not be as interesting if I started now.  Maybe I will anyway.  XD

Alright well, update complete.  Scheduling my (hopefully) final interview for next week, and then all the Japan.  All of it. (o_o)

Next I'll be posting about my plans to learn Japanese and what resources I use.  I think I'll eventually make an actual page about it too.  Seems like it would be the most helpful.

じゃあね~
