Rundown on First Week's Streams

Hey All! :)

This week we played some Stardew Valley, Phoning Home, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and The Last Guardian.  The latter two were on PS4.  Console streaming went pretty well, but I don't have a PS4 camera!  I felt the lack of a webcam component, so I'll be sticking to PC until I get a PS4 camera.

In Stardew Valley, we'll be working on completing the Greenhouse in a year, or as close to one year as possible.  I think I'll actually have to have it finished by the end of the first Fall, so keep your fingers crossed we can make it!

Phoning Home is being a little difficult.  We're kind of stuck and can't seem to find the next portal to the desert.  I'm sure I'll be able to find it, but maybe I'll do that off stream so you guys don't have to watch me wander around all willy nilly.  Once we get a little more secure, we'll need to rebuild our supplies.

This Mass Effect: Andromeda playthrough is to complete the game a second time on Insanity mode to earn the rest of the trophies for the game.  I'll need to also do two more romances at least and revive my teammates a number of time.  Ooo, I just realized I should just take who I like the least, remove all their levels, and then revive them; that way I don't have to watch my favorite characters die! lol.  Perfect.  Should be pretty simple.  I'm doing a New Game + since I already beat the game and most of the side quests.  I'll just be working on the main quest on this playthrough.

The Last Guardian is proving to be somewhat difficult!  I don't know what you guys think, but it's not always clear what to do next or where to go.  I guess that makes it more interesting for a lot of gamers, but not as much for me.  I do love Trico though.  Trico is absolutely adorable!  I want to move forward with the plot so that his horns grow back and he finds others like him!  We'll see how it goes though.  There are so many games to play!

Next, we'll probably keep playing Stardew Valley!  Also might start recording Minecraft for some YouTube posts.  Will definitely stream when it comes time to fight in The End!  Ooo, probably going to add No Man's Sky, some Don't Starve, and either the Witcher or Child of Light.  If you have any opinion on what we play next, let me know!  What do you think of the games we've been playing?

Happy Friday!

Back Again, With More Games!

Here we go!  Back again with new games and a new setup.  Looking forward to sharing gameplay with you all!  I wonder what everyone is playing these days.  I tend to lean towards the non-shooter games, but Mass Effect kind of blurs the line for that.  So here's my progress so far on my games:

  • Mass Effect: Andromeda [PS]
    • On a New Game+ in Insanity mode, trying to get my last 3 trophies
  • The Last Guardian [PS]
    • Played some of the beginning then got a little bored.  Trico is super adorable though, so I'll probably pick it up again
  • Final Fantasy XV [PS]
    • Barely did the tutorial for this game.  It seems kind of hard, but I love Final Fantasy games, so I'll definitely come back to it.
  • Phoning Home [PC]
    • This game is pretty cute.  It's a lot of gathering and wandering around, but the dialogue is witty.  I got stuck at a kind of scary part, but I definitely need to play more >.<
  • No Man's Sky [PC]
    • Not really sure where to go with this.  It's fun exploring the universe, but now I'm stuck trying to collect plutonium to even move my ship!   Frustrating... >>
  • Banished [PC]
    • Haven't really met any of my goals in this one, but it's a little slow going.  Might YouTube this one since I can cut out the slow parts.  Just started getting a better grasp on the mechanics when I stopped.
  • The Witcher [PC]
    • Tried playing this a while back and just couldn't get very far.  Definitely want to get to the third one though, so this is on my list.
  • Elder Scrolls Online
    • Definitely was enjoying this game.  I got my mage character to the higher tier of playing before the Morrowind update came out.  Haven't gotten to play Morrowind yet, but will get back to this game soon.
  • Stardew Valley [PC]
    • I wish there was another game like this out!  I definitely beat this game hard.  I have built all the farm buildings, done the extra content, explored Skull Cavern a bit, and gotten married with two kids.  Oh, and everyone loves me.  Not much else to do except speed runs and trying to earn even more money.  This game was so much fun!
Visit http://upload.farm/1DtWZT to see my stats!
So there you go!  I'll probably play Mass Effect, The Last Guardian, and FFXV on Twitch, then YouTube No Man's Sky and maybe Phoning Home.  Thoughts on which games I should play?  Know any good challenges for Stardew Valley?  Let me know in the comments!

Reign of Giants Gameplay Changes

Hello Everyone!  :)

Since I finished watching Dishonourable Damiyo's Reign of Giants Let's Play videos, I switched to watching Twitch streamers, specifically SlickBlackJesus.  His current game is Wickerbottom at 2800 days in the 9th world.  Yep.  Seriously insane crazy amazing.  I'm not sure if I can get my bases to that level, but I can try!  In any case, his streams have showed me some possibilities for my bases.

Now, I have still been playing Vanilla Don't Starve and I really don't want to keep playing Vanilla with Reign of Giants looking so amazing.  So I am most likely going to only visit the Willow World 4 Adventure Mode game a couple more time in order to finally finish Adventure Mode.  Mostly I want to play Reign of Giants.

I did start a Reign of Giants with Wolfgang, but I decided I don't want to play a long game with Wolfgang.  Especially since I am a librarian and there is a librarian character.  I will most likely play a side game with Willow for when I cannot record my gameplay (which is most of the time at the moment).  If anyone wants me to play a bit as a different character though, let me know!  I'll also have a slot for random gameplay.  I've been feeling some Sims 4 as well, so I might get on that soon.

Let me know if you guys want to see anything specific!  Hope you are all doing well!

A New Journey - Reign of Giants

Hello All!  :D

Today I began a Let's Play of Reign of Giants.  I've been watching the esteemed Dishonourable Damiyo's Reign of Giants Let's Play and it has been giving me ideas on how to proceed.

First, I decided to plan my base layout to best utilize the ice flingomatics and the two separate fires I will need.  I would also like to place tooth traps in front of every berry bush I keep in my camp so as to get drumsticks more easily.  I'm not sure how productive this will be with only a few bushes, so hopefully I can fit in a good amount.  I might make one entire flingomatic for the bushes.  I might also need one for the bee boxes + flowers and any tree farm I might make.  I'm not sure about those yet.  I should probably do the tree farm a little ways away from my base in order to protect my base from treeguards... but once you de-aggro the treeguard, it kind of becomes a good line of defense.  Hmmm.  Not sure.

Oh, that's right.  The second half of the second flingomatic will have to be farms.  My big base has so many farms since it was made by a Wickerbottom character (with her Applied Horticulture book), but I don't think it is feasible to have so many farms with other characters.  Maybe it will be though.  I have to be careful with regards to spontaneous combustion though; that can really destroy a base!

I also have to have a bird cage somewhere in there, but I'm not sure of the likelihood of the bird in the cage catching fire.  I know birds can catch fire randomly though, so I will try to fit it somewhere in the flingomatics range.  Along with all the chests I make.  >.>

Additionally, I would like to make a checklist of all the goals I have for Reign of Giants.  Perhaps I will make it a sticky or place it into a sidebar on my blog.  Anyway, I will just list everything here since I haven't completed any yet.

  • Build a complete camp, including:
    • At least two ice flingomatics
    • Grass field
    • Twig field
    • Berry bush field
    • At least six improved farms
    • At least two crock pots

    • Butter muffin
    • Waffles
    • Flower salad
    • Ice cream
    • Melonsicle
    • Fruit Medley
    • Guacamole
    • Spicy chili
    • Trail mix
    • Unagi
  • Befriend Cat coon
    • Build cat cap if possible

      • Starcaller's Staff
      • Lazy Explorer
      • Lazy Forager
      • Thulecite Crown
      • Thulecite Suit
      • Construction Amulet
      • Magiluminescence
      • Thulecite Club
      • Deconstruction Staff
  • Prototype all items (perhaps somewhat ambitious)
Alright, well, that will give me some goals at least.  Quite a few goals, lol.  I think I will probably add on to this in the future as possibilities arise.  I have added to it at least four times while finishing up this blog!  It is so exciting to find so many goals :)

If you guys have any suggestions on additional goals to add, let me know!

UPDATE: Check the RoG Goals page of the blog for a checklist that will be updated as I go.  I will try to write a blog post about each epic update to the list! :D

Don't Starve is the Greatest

Hello Everyone!  ^_^

I've been quite obsessed with Don't Starve lately.  It's a survival game on Steam with a dark atmosphere.  It also has a multiplayer version that automatically has the newest DLC added in.  I suppose it technically is still in Beta, but it's pretty easy to get.  Currently, you can buy the Frontier Pack through Steam, which comes with the base game, the multiplayer game, and a gift copy of the multiplayer game so you can actually play with someone.  Unfortunately, you still need to buy the DLC to play the base game plus DLC.

Frontier Pack ($19.99): http://store.steampowered.com/sub/55833/
Reign of Giants DLC ($4.99): http://store.steampowered.com/app/282470/?snr=1_5_9__405

I suppose if you want all of them though, the best option is to just buy the MEGA pack, which has all of it for $22.99, but you can always just get the Frontier Pack to try it out and then add on the DLC if you like it.  Or just go all in with the MEGA Pack... XD

MEGA Pack ($22.99): http://store.steampowered.com/sub/55834/

Let me know what you think of the game if you try it out.  I'm thinking of hosting a server so a bunch of people who love it can play together and just be random.  Or plan stuff out and be organized.  Both are fun.

I also wanted to suggest some resources to use when playing the game.  The site I use the most is the Don't Starve food simulator found here:

Simulator: https://dont-starve-food.googlecode.com/git/html/index.htm

You can choose what items to add to your virtual crock pot and then see what food item will be created.  It also tells you how much hunger, health, or sanity you gain; plus the percentage increase or decrease from the amount of the base items.  It is super helpful.  I have never made wet goop yet.  Some of these terms will become more understandable when you play the game as well.

Or you could check out the Wiki before you even play the game and learn what all this stuff is.  I don't recommend it, but you can also go to the Wiki after you start playing to get more information on certain things.  I check it almost every time I play for something or other.  There are also really helpful guides on things like Adventure Mode, Surviving Winter, and many more.

Don't Starve Wiki: http://dont-starve-game.wikia.com/wiki/Don%27t_Starve_Wiki

If you have any questions about the game though, you are welcome to post here or post a comment on one of my videos for me.  I will definitely respond and do my best to help.

Good luck not starving!  :D

Back into Streaming

Hello hello~

Just started streaming again today.  Started with Minecraft Modded.  Might have bit off more than I could gnash since my computer didn't seem to be able to play it well... still have no idea why, but that's what super smart computer geek friends are for!  In any case, I started out with FTB's Infinity Pack with about 160 mods, so I think I'll just try out one mod next time.  Although, it was EPIC to play Minecraft with so many new features.  I'm super excited about the glowing plants and all the extra achievements I can work towards.  Definitely can't wait to start growing new crops and cooking more in the game too XD  Ooo, and all the magic and stuff as well!  Very excited.

I am also leaning towards doing streams of Don't Starve again.  This game just never gets old to me.  I love the beginning stages the most.  Later game content isn't quite my favorite, but I should certainly work towards getting there eventually.  With Don't Starve Together Beta out now though I can just play the beginning stages over and over again.  I guess that's kind of what these kinds of games are about though.

Thanks for reading, and check out my first back-to-streaming video on my YouTube channel if you're interested.  Happy Friday!

No Japan, but More Games!

Hey guys,

I unfortunately ended up not going to Japan, but now that I am a trained librarian (graduated in December 2014), I am searching for an actual librarian job and playing games bunches more.  Mostly, I've been playing Rune Factory 2 lately, which is on my Nintendo DS Lite and kind of hard to share...

But I think I'm going to try out some Minecraft mods soon and hopefully more Don't Starve!  Maybe you'll see some Don't Starve Together with my good, hilarious friend.  I'm looking forward to sharing our gaming sessions with you all.

Ooo, Child of Light is also on sale through Steam, so I was thinking of playing that as well.  I played it a bit on the PS4 and it was fantastic!  Very cutesy.

In any case, look forward to some new broadcasts and videos and I hope all is well with you!
